Mark is a senior ecologist and conservation planner who provides leadership in developing resilient, nature-based design solutions that address the most pressing environmental concerns of our time. He has nearly 30 years of experience leading ecological restoration and green infrastructure planning and design teams; integrating restored ecological systems into built environments; and using nature-based solutions to address water quality, flooding and habitat degradation.

Mark’s understanding of ecological processes, the design industry, and regulatory environment provides the foundation for developing creative, practical, and fundable solutions for clients that promote ecological health and community resiliency. His holistic approach to project development and implementation opens doors for community engagement, and sets the stage for creative funding strategies including water quality trading, conservation banking, performance-based delivery, and outside funding.
